We have an extensive range of Tempered Glass Panels available. We can manufacture any size of tempered glass panels from 1 square inch to the largest size of 9'2" × 15'10" (2,794mm × 4,826mm) — any shape.
Please NOTE: Count an extra ¼" for the U-Channel on the wall and on the floor!
On the above picture you see a shower panel with NO hinge cuts on the right hand side next to the towel bars.
You can observe another (narrower) shower panel with 2 hinge cuts on the left side of the picture, the shower door is hinged to this panel (by a glass-to-glass hinge).
As you can tell, if there is a hinge on the glass, there must be a hinge cut on the glass panel or the door. Of course, all doors get hinges and thereby hinge cuts too (each hinge has a hinge cut). Many times the door gets mounted on the wall (by wall-to-glass hinges). If there is a glass panel on the opening side of the door, then that glass panel has NO hinge cuts.
Here is a sample of how you can use a door and a panel when you have a 41" opening:
24" is the door width, the panel is 16¾" wide and ¼" is taken up by the U-channel. 24+16¾+¼=41
We recommend to use the following 'rule' on designing your glass shower enclosure: If your opening is less than 48" then use a door and one panel. If your opening is 49" or more, then use a configuration of a panel, a door and another panel. Here are some examples: (click on the small images to see them larger)
